Secular Homeschooling Teens in Kansas City (SHTKC) is a secular group providing a supportive community for homeschooling teens and their families. SHTKC supports individuals with a wide variety of ideologies regarding parenting, lifestyle, sexual orientation, homeschooling, and religion.

All homeschooling families with teens between the ages of 13 and 18 are eligible for membership in SHTKC. Membership is free; participation in activities is restricted to members, unless otherwise noted. By becoming a member of SHTKC you agree to respect other members' beliefs and ideals that may not necessarily reflect your own.

SHTKC offers members the following:
  • Weekly social gatherings
  • A monthly Teen Night
  • A monthly Game Night
  • An Autumn Dance
  • A Spring Formal Dance
  • Graduation
  • Other activities
We also offer an announcement list for opportunities of interest to secular homeschooling teens and their families in the Kansas City area.
Announcements may include social activities, educational classes/resources, community events, and personal interests.
